Rinseless Washes Through a Foamgun?

When I started using ONR I noticed it cut down on wash induced marring I was getting with the foamgun and 2 bucket method. So now I'm going to start using a little ONR mixed with the car wash in the foamgun.

Accumulator, I think Mr_Elusive's tip is pretty good. If you feel that there is a possibly higher risk with the ONR, then you can mix some of the ONR into your regular wash solution in order to provide more lubricity. In addition to using it through the foamgun, I think it would definitely help a lot with preventing marring/swirling since ONR can encapsulate the dirt particles pretty well.

This isn't the direct subject of this thread, but it's close enough that I'll mention it here. This week I picked up a pump sprayer that comes with 3 tips, one of which is a "foaming tip". I haven't had chance to try it with ONR yet, but it might be interesting to see what happens. I did notice that it seems to spray more volume with the regular brass tip. If anyone's interested, here's the one I bought.

And yes, I realize there's no advantage to foaming ONR. It was just something that caught my attention. They market it as a weed sprayer and the foaming is to more easily see where you've applied the product.

Hope I'm adequately expressing my appreciation for everybody's input, even if I *am* pretty much shooting down all the suggestions!

Velobard- the foaming tip might make for a good pre-soak, getting the solution to cling better than it otherwise would.

Grimm- Isn't this nutty of me, trying to keep the poorly repainted roof of a minivan (which is already deeply marred) so nice when the guy who plans to buy it will never care?!?

Mr. Elusive & mikebai1990- Yeah, I like the idea of adding some ONR to my foamgun solution :xyxthumbs Sure wouldn't hurt anything IMO and added lubricity/encapsulation can only be good. I *am* a little leery of tinkering with something that's working so well, but it seems like a safe enough thing to try.

Wonder if the ONR is all that much better than QEW...I have the QEW and I'm really trying to cut down on the endless accumulation on detailing stuff.

Good point about the possibility of extra cling from foaming.

As for the QEW, IMHO I'd go ahead and use that up first.
