RickRack & Rydawg at it again!! (Black Ferrari 360 Modena)...

Absolutely astounding work, men! Although I have to ask if the wheel wells were addressed... you dressed them after the "glory shots" right? I only mention it because I've been questioned about the same thing... I sometimes get caught up in the "after LSP removal" stage and take pics of the finished product. Again, that's a great save you guys did!

Apollo_Auto- Thanks! The wheel wells were actually never dressed. Out of all the cars that we have detailed, this is probably the only one we let go without doing it. The customer was patient enough to wait around while we finished up the car and told us not to worry about it. Another reason is that it was raining out when he picked it up, so it wouldn't have mattered anyways. We offered to let him keep the car in the shop overnight and meet him early in the morning, but he absolutely needed to take it that night.
 
Looks like a great job. Its a shame the Ferrari got that bad but cool at the same to see that someone has actually gone out and enjoyed driving it instead of just looking at it.
 
I hope you guys got paid more than a "little more" for this job, damn..............



I hate it when customers bring in cars and you have to tell them its going to be way more than expected. If you don't you are slumming your services, because they and anyone else will expect the same quality for the low price.



How many man hours?

The pictures would have come out better, but I was playing with manual mode for the first time and I was not paying attention to the pictures as it was almost 2 AM. The customer was waiting for me to finish the pics and had to be somewhere quick.



The before pictures do NOT show what this really looked like. I remember the passenger side had all these scratches and it looked like a kid probably drove his hotwheels car all down the side of it. If I remember correctly, the drivers side had been repainted with lower quality paint.



The customer was actually a very nice guy and had purchased the vehicle in this condition site unseen. He said he was going to trade it in for something more wild and exotic when he figures what he really wants.
 
Very nice job guys. I liked the brown wall tires with the tire position written on them. I can't believe any tire shop would let a car like that roll out of the shop with chalk on their tires.

Trust me in person when I first seen the car, I was like HOLY WOW.... You have got to be kidding me.:hm



Whatever they used for tire shine, it was embedded into the tires deeply and also embedded into the paint. I noticed where it slung there was clearcoat damage too from the harsh silicones in the tire shine.



I was very shocked that we whipped this car into good condition in the short time span we had.



I just remember wiping the dust on the car with my finger and feeling the slime on the paint. There was also a BIG static charge going on with the paint too.
 
hmm, the tire marks, brake dust and finish condition lead me to believe the car was a track day beater at some point.

may i ask what year the car is? i just did an '01 argento 360 and i'm curious how you found the clear to be in terms of hardness. i'm pooling such info on "post single stage" ferraris.

:) I often leave it out too, especially in this weather... it's just a waste of product most of the time in my book.
 
Hmmm...I always thought "express detail" meant ArmorAll and some sort of quick buff at the end of a drive through car wash, not a full paint correction in one day!



Once again, it was nice to come home from work and relax while reading another write up where you two torture yourselves to produce unbelievable results...

What a difference...very nice job. It is hard to beleive that someone would let a nice c get in that bad of shape. Perhaps he'd changed his mind on selling it after seeing the results????
