Rewashing After Heavy Polishing Neccessary?

i don`t rewash , when use 105 i do some ipa wipe off when necessary , but other than that after polish , i inspect the car with different lights and get`s seal/wax.

i don`t have time to waist on a car by washing it 3-4 times and rub it with 20 towels or air dry, and no one it will pay me extra for that. done

David Fermani (and others ;) )- Now you cut that out! Every time I've settled on *not* figuring out how to pressurewash in my overcrowded shop, somebody like you posts something that reminds me how it's simply the right tool for a whole lotta jobs :D

I've done OK using PrepWash wipedowns, but I use so much of it (and do some degree of rinsing afterwards) that it's pretty much a "wash" anyhow. And if there's trim/etc. involved, or just a lot of correction, then yeah, a real wash can be mandatory unless you want all sorts of things coming back to haunt you later...like after the next hard rain or regular maintenance wash.

Same difference, I'm sure they both have the same lubes in them, one just cuts more then the other....

beautiful , you have my respect Josh ,

but is not gonna be any zainoboy behind my work :bounce

Proper body shop-esque masking with proper wipe down conduct will save you more time and effort than washing. Plus, blot drying aside, you can add more wash marks to your work.

Much like painting a house, its all about masking. Painting is the easy part.

I see rewashing as a two part system.

1 obviously removes a lot of dust/powder from the car

2 it should remove the lubes/oils from the compound/polishes so that the LSP has a better "pure" surface to properly bond to and not over top another slippery element

Just my thoughts.

I am being friendly, just joking around with you.

And you're right, I am very lucky you're not living in Dallas anymore, even though I'm not quite sure why that makes me lucky, I'll just take your word for it...:funnypost

A detailer mentioned to me here in OR that he wasn't getting any durability out of Meg's #21. He used 105/205. I had to explain to him that sealants need an oil free surface to bond.

That should be proof for you.:argue:argue:argue:argue:argue:argue :funnypost:funnypost:funnypost:funnypost
