Rewashing After Heavy Polishing Neccessary?

Is it just me, am I the only one who rewashes cars after polishing them before using the LSP?



I've been reading tons of click and brags lately and seems no one I notice is rewashing the cars after they do a full correction or a 2 step PC job or whatever?



People seem to be putting LSP's right over freshly wiped down polished surfaces. I know the lubes, oils and silicone's don't come off by simply wiping with a dry MF towel? Plus for me it helps to get all the powder out of the cracks and different areas.



I could understand an Alcohol wipe down at least, or a good cleaner wax AIO pre LSP step or something but I don't see anyone talking about that in there process?



Hope I'm not being judgmental but is it not necessary to rewash after polishing steps.

I think alot more people do it than actually mention it in their C&B's.. It's one of the most effective way to clear out crevices and such. I would have to think most do something of at least a good rinse down. :nixweiss
 
i usually do . . . . . . especially if there is dust all over the place . . . . . re washing is so much quicker then the initial wash LoL.

Wipe down with MF, remove any build up from seams and gaps with fine bristle brush, and blast them out with the pressure washer during the wash. ("Blast" being a relative term, I'm using about 1500 psi.)



I actually think that for those who dont rewash and use a product with heavy dusting or detailers who have slinging problems it would be faster than trying to wipe it down dry in many cases.
 
Yep, I have to! Just doesnt look right with all the dust all over it/in it



however, there are times where I dont have the extra 30 min to wash and dry it, so i dont. But if I have the time then I most certainly will.



EZ Cream works well at removing about 90% of the dust...just run it all over the car including the windows to blow the dust off!
 
I have been using ONR for the in between wash. That way I don't have water drips when applying or buffing off my lsp.
 
I foam the car down with Citrus Wash / Dawn and let it sit for 3-4 minutes to help loosen and remove the oils from the paint and help cleans the cracks and crevices. Then I will do a 2 bucket wash with Citrus Wash to get it looking right.



I also think a lot of people do this pre wash, just don't mention it.
 
I don't just wash.......I POWERWASH.
