Revive These Dead Wheels

Okay, my wife's car has 12 year old alloy wheels that are in need of help. As far as I can tell they aren't oxidized or anything, just very dull and lifeless. Any product recommendations to bring these back from the dead?

EDIT: Please disregard the paint, it will be heading to the shop in about three weeks.

Check into media blasting. Then get the wheels recleared or polish them regularly.

You can get them blasted for between $100 - $200. You can reclear them yourself, but they can do it fairly cheap too.

Do you have a PC? I just did a 95 Jeep's wheels (my wifes) with the PC and Meguiars #80. I had been thinking of buying new wheels because they looked awful. Nothing by hand worked. After polishing I used Collinite wax and they turned out great. not perfect but I will not be buying any new wheels for it now. You can see a pic in click and brag section under 95 Jeep revisited.

Compound and a buffer. Sometimes, if the finish is that dead, you will just have to pay $100 each to have them refinished.

I don't have a PC, but I will definitely invest in one. I'll give that a shot and if it doesn't help I will be making a visit to a refinishing place.
