Revisiting Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant

I used this product once last summer and the bottle has sat for over a year. A friend came up from Rochester (90 miles from me) to go to a man shower and we decided to clean his car up good. As I reached for my PBs EX-P I thought that I would try the Wolfgang again. Wow did it look great after the SIP. So today I stripped the Zaino off my car and applied the Wolfgang DGPS to the Maxima. Wow, what a glow. Its just stunning. A perfect mix between a sealant and nuba. Going to put another layer on tomorrow and one later in the week then top with PS.

If you havent given WDGPS a try yet check it out. Great product with an amzing look.

And it says months for durability but I searched and people are saying its more like weeks. Hopefully a few layers will go down then I will seal it in for winter with OS/ UPGP / ZCS.

Id been using WG for a while now, and I was always impressed with how easy it

was to apply, and how it made the paint look after application. My only issue

with the product is that it can get very settled down the bottom of the bittle and

harden up like crazy. I finally used up the remaining amount I had, and never

bothered to buy more. But nce I finish up the rest of my stuff, I definitely plan

to revisit this.

What was your experience on longevity?

I used to use it, but in an actual comparison between WG and DG105, the 105 out lasted it and looked as good if not better. But, looks are subjective. It is an easy on- easy off product that just costs too much for how long it lasts.

Actually, my experience has a been a lil different from a few folks. I have found that

it lasts about as well as some good waxes; approx. 2-3 months. This is of course

contingent upon maintanence washes, etc.

Yeah, I really enjoy the ease of use and appearance with Wolfgang. I got moderate durability with it.

I loaned my bottle to a friend to use/try out, and it's never returned :( Some people just aren't respectful.

I have a bottle and I really like it, Prob been like 3 or 4 months and im still beading up pretty well.

I've been getting what seems like good protection for about 2 months on the cars that sit outside 24-7 before it really starts to fade.. Not the greatest for a sealant, but i still like it and use it semi-frequently.

I have used the WGDS and really like the looks...but the durability was not as good as the looks...I did a friends yellow Xtera in it last fall...and as soon as winter came knocking and salt hit the roads the salt seemed to really take its toll on it...after a wash the beading seemed to just diminish and I had to redo the truck....water just laid flat on the paint...but it did look very good on the Yellow paint....I would just use it for a summer thing and not a winter protection coat...I just use it for spring and summer now...but 2 months is the most I get from it

I recently used DP's sealant. I suspect it is similar to WG's, and yes, it looked very nice, applied very easy, and was slick as all get out.

It was slicker then the z2, and was still slicker after 2 washes too.

WG seems to me like a more carnauba looking version of UPP. Amazing initial slickness too. About 3, maybe 4 months tops durability. Honestly, I get better durability from PB's EX w/carnauba but WG is a slicker and goes on and off easier.

You must have better conditions than I do, Scott. I only got about 2 months from the product. I didn't really care for the look. It just shows looks are in the eye of the beholder.

Fixed that for you there Greg.

I have the WOlfgang sealant and the Wolfgang paintwork enhancer to make sure it bonds with the paint nicely. Haven't used it yet, but I'm excited to try it out. This is going to be my first sealant.

I have to admit that Wolfgang has a very inviting look and feel to it. While normally seeing eight plus weeks of durability with it, the recent addition of polycharger can really add to its durability and keep slickness as wanted.
