Revisiting a Porsche GT3 w/FMJ

Nice work Anthony....that is one incredible detail......

Thanks Dinz:cool:

Ya know cars like these are just a real joy to detail. I really look forward to these details because I just love to kick back, put some smooth jazz on my CD player, perhaps the client gives me a glass of wine or a nice cool beer and I just get into the Detail Zone:cool: The money is secondary and at times feel guilty taking the money (but I still do:D ) because I have such a great time detailing, it's like therapy:)

he will probably want me to do that too. I can hardly wait until he gets the Lamborghini Murcialago (spelling?) roadster.

We have one of those running around here in town and I am trying to hunt him down. Those Lambo's are just so sexy!

No kidding! This will be his 3rd Lamborghini in 4 years! He just sold the blue Diablo. I wish I had known he was selling it so I could slip my business card into the owner's manual. I am detailing several cars that I picked up that way.

Anthony,

Thank you for such a cool post! :xyxthumbs I don't detail for $ but I too enjoy the Zen state one gets when the paint, polish, sealant and or wax seem to go in perfect harmony.

That GT3 is a very beautiful car. I look forward to the day that I may own such a wonderful automobile! :D

Great job on that slick looking detail!

Cheers,

Anthony,

That car is orgasmic. I can't really find a place where Porsche missed a detail. From the carbon fiber trim everywhere, to the yellow stiching and seatbelts, to the "oh so cool" aero kit and spoiler, to the tremendous brakes and wheels...That thing has it all.

I think the detail looks great! Any other impressions on FMJ from other colors? I find it kind of hard to tell on yellow, but it looks very shiny like most sealants do? What would you compare this stuff to?

Once again, excellent work!

Thank You GSR

I have only used FMJ on one other color, a silver, and it gave the paint a very nice depth and gloss, it was a Maserati and the pictures can be found here http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=326561#post326561

I would place it closest to UPP in the area of gloss and slickness, perhaps an edge may go to UPP as it leaves a very slick surface but there is no wait time like UPP nor has it as of yet given me any trouble like sticking. It goes on like butter and comes off with the slightest effort.
