Patrick's got a real winner with the Erasure pads! I've used the blue Erasure I've been testing now on 4 details, couple via rotary and a couple via PC. These are easily, and without a doubt, Lake Country's best pads - with edge to edge backing material and a completely flat design, they are an improvement on previous LC pads. IMO, they are PERFECT for the PC, and pretty darn good via rotary (I still like the Propel IIs for rotary).



The blue Erasure I've been using is perfect for dark/soft paint, as it is slightly more aggressive than the Green Propel IIs and a tad less agressive than most manufacturer's white foam - a good split.

I think I might have to order some in the next week or so...I find I'm always needing more pads. Good review Ryan :2thumbs:
 
Propel pads are not manufactured by Lake Country, but by American Buffing. Other than that, with the pad being so thin, do you find the control to be greater, or less with the rotary?

Patrick's website says the new Erazure pads are in fact "Lake Country" pads.....?

When I first read Ryan's post, I thought he was saying that Propel's are Lake Country pads, but upon further inspection he never says that, his only mention of Propel pads is that he prefers them on the rotary. That is why I originally made the distinction that Propel(not erazure) pads are made by american buffing.
 
Ah, gotcha. I just didn't know if you meant Lake Country pads were made by American Buffing or if it was just a mistake.

George, the Erasure (at least the blue one) is just a little more difficult to control than the green, blue, or white Propels, as these propels are extremely flexible and forgiving.



Also, the Erasure is extremely sling resistant.
 
I talked to patrick or someone over there the other day and I was waiting for the whites to come up on the site to order a few....thinking about 5 pads at the moment....I hope they are in stock....the only pads I have right now are some beat up meguiars pads and a few still good meguiars yellow pads, and perfect orange 5.5" lake coutry pads....I am thinking about 2 white, 1 blue, 1 black, 1 green and 1 yellow....wait thats 6....shoot!!! oh well
 
what pads would you go with....I already have some orange....



so my question is do I really need the black, or will the blue suffice...get two blue or 1 blue and 1 black? is there that much of a difference...



I was thinking now 1 green for sealants, 1 blue for light polishing, two whites for heavier polishing, and 1 yellow for compounding....or what about 1 yellow, two whites, and two black, one green...I have about 6 orange already, and about 4 still good megs yellow pads....I am going to place an order today, so any input is greatly welcomed



what size backing plate....5" or 6" because I have two 5" plates, but do I need to get the 6" plate for certain or will the 5" work fine?

I can't speak authoratively on that, but my guess is ÿes", they are no longer being made. In fact, I think AB is working on new pads yet again.
 
Is the color coding the same as the original LC pads?



What would an LC yellow, orange, white, black and red compare to in the Erasure series? Where does the Erasure blue fit in?
