I picked up a few of these towel cause they caught my eye of being "hybrid towel". It's half plush / half waffle weave, great for drying. 70/30 blend with 400 GSM korean towel.
This is my new favorite drying towel. Insane absorption and towel is thin enough to wring out easily. Normally I blow dry my vehicle and go back with a small towel to spot dry with a drying aid. Most towels I have used ended up streaking or have to be damp first to use. This eliminates both of those and saves time and effort.
In the video, I just rinsed off my hood and sprayed it down with IPA to strip any oils. I did not have to dampen the towel or anything, I just went right to work and started wiping. Gave a nice streak free surface.
Pros
Did not have to damp first to use
Streak free
Thin towel and easy to wring out
Absorbs crazy amount of water
Cons
only thing I seen was it was a little grabby at times when it soaked up all the liquid and had no lubrication to glide across the surface. but it is a drying towel... right? i think if i dampen the towel it may not be so grabby
