Not bad... a review from someone who never even posted to say Hi on Autopia :confused: Was he hired? ;)



This product reviews are far from being honest and helpful lately :down

yup...I've noticed a lot of negative reviews lately and very little explaination why.



I hate to judge a person just by the number of posts, but NXT is not a bad product. It may not be the best, but I didn't expect it to be and I'd say it's the best of the off-the-shelf stuff.
 
Greg, I'm sure I wouldn't join Autopia - which I'd do after finding it - just to do a *BAD* review of a product, unless it was intentional. I hate it when other interests are bigger than those we, enthusiasts, aim for.



You tested Z5 yesterday, hope you like it at least as much as I did. But, NXT, EX, CMW or others don't deserve what some say about them. After all, it's detail products we talk about.



About your 'Williams this year'....I'm sorry, but looks like Ferrari is a lot better this year than last year. :xyxthumbs

I read it and then considered it GARBAGE. He wanted to be negative and did a great job at it. I think the product is good and really I could care less what he says.

There are plenty of excellent members on this board and none of them have ever posted such a negative review about anything.

jgv, it looks like Mr. Mann has been a lurker/member for over a year, so the scenario you seem to be implying sounds a bit unlikely. But glad to see you're on the lookout my friend! :)



I agree with your second statement. I'm all for maintaining the integrity of this forum.
 
I hadn't seen that review but can echo (to a minor degree) his comments. When a product gets tremendous pre-intro hype, people have elevated expectations and it's human nature that people will not have their expectations met when they try xyz product for themselves. We've all experienced it.



One thing I have noticed about our dark green car is that the Klasse panels (done last Fall) still look better than the NXT treated panels done two weeks ago. I'm not saying anything negative about NXT as it far too early but upon inspection, the aged Klasse surfaces do look better than the fresh NXT.
 
Fellow Autopians... let's be sure not to blast a member for sharing their oppinion.



I would like to make one quick note about Autopia Reviews. I send a personal PM to anyone who posts an all "Poor" or all "Outstanding" rating. No product is that bad or that good. I crafted the rating criteria intentionally to prevent these kinds of ratings. Just by example, it would be really difficult to give any major manufacture a "Poor" rating on their packaging or instructions. So, even if you don't like a product, if you rate it fairly, it should still be middle of the road.



It's nice to see a lot more people using Autopia Reviews and I will continue to add categories and product as time permits.

Any review by someone whose likes and dislikes you are unfamiliar with is worthless. You need to know how you stand relative to the writer. So, robert mann's review, if it assumed to be accurate for him, cannot be judged as either accurate or inaccurate for you, because you have no frame of reference.

It is what it is: someone else's opinion. And we can all agree that almost all of us have one.
 
i don't see his review as far off from what i experienced with nxt. i personally like zaino much better, but that's just my personal opinion. i agree with the product being overhyped. i had been waiting all winter long to get my hands on nxt, and to me, it certainly isn't a bad product by any means, but it is by no means the best i've ever used. just one persons opinion. i think his review was fair.
 
Everyone is entitled to their opinion.



I happen to love NXT, it's top on my list of appearance products and I'm not a fan of Zaino products which seems popular with many, but that's me and my priorities are different than others.



I think any review of a product should be backed up with hard facts based on your experience with the product. Without details a bad review is.......well a bad review.
