Review 3D HD Wash

The Guz

Mike
I purchased this sometime last year and forgot all about it. A drought will do that. The other day I decided to put to use as I was digging through my cabinet.

3D HD Wash

Product description

3D High Definition HD Wash Shampoo offers a luxurious alternative to typical car wash soaps. This pH-balanced formula blankets your vehicle in polymers to gently cleanse the surface while adding a layer of protection and gloss. 3D HD Wash helps you maintain the beauty of your vehicle with every wash!

A clean shiny, shiny car is a beautiful thin, but the actual washing part isn’t very fun. The results that you will achieve with 3D HD Wash will make you look forward to washing your car! This car wash shampoo is designed to emulsify and encapsulate any dirt, grime, or other contaminants on the surface of your vehicle so that you can gently wipe them away with your wash mitt. It’s full of polymers and glossing agents that leave a layer of protection and gloss.

3D HD Wash is pH-balanced, phosphate-free, and VOC-compliant, so you can feel good about making it your go-to car wash soap. The wax-friendly formula won’t degrade existing waxes or sealants. As a matter of fact, the shine and protective qualities that your previously applied wax or sealant provided will be enhanced when you wash your vehicle using 3D HD Wash!

Comes in a nice bottle like all HD products. It does come with the red stopper like all of their products that I have used. It does not have a flip top which would be nice. Simply unscrew the cap and pour.

It does have a nice dilution ratio. 1 oz per 3 oz's of water.

I filled my bucket with 2 gallons of water. Put 1 oz of soap into it and blasted it with a jet of water. Which was around 3 gallons of water total. It created some nice suds that lasted the entire wash.

I also decided to put 2 oz's of HD wash into my Adams foam gun to see how well it foams. I actually placed the Autopia and Blackfire stickers onto the foam gun instead of the Adams sticker.

I foamed up my mom's Regal which currently has PBL V2. PBL V2 is holding up just fine after 4 months. HD Wash actually foamed up nicely.

I also used it on my dad's car that same weekend. I had enough foam left in the gun and still had plenty of soap to wash his. I reactivated the soap with a blast of water. Here's an after shot as I was putting my equipment away. HD Wash left a nice shine and a little bit of slickness.

Final thoughts:

I typically don't use car shampoo's that leave anything behind. But I was impressed with HD Wash. It has good lubricity. Produced some nice suds that lasted the entire wash. It's about as thick as Meguiar's Hyper Wash. It's not as thick as Optimum Car Wash or Adams Car Shampoo (which is the thickest I have used). I did not have any issues rinsing off the soap from the surface. It's dilution ratio is on par with these soaps which is a good thing.

I actually would not mind having it pink rather than blue to go with the color of the HD Wash logo on the bottle and to go with the other pink soaps in the 3D HD line.

It did leave a nice and glossy finish. It was a dusty week here (Santa Ana winds + pollen) after I had washed them and I noticed the car's stayed cleaner longer. I enjoyed using it and would recommend it to those shine freaks that want that little extra gloss boost.

Nice review. I haven't tried HD wash yet. I'm still working on my gallon of 3D Pink which I enjoy very much. Might have to pick this stuff up next.

Great review! Id like to try this out one day, but I've got a few others I want to try first.
I wonder why they don't sell this in gallons...? Just happened to notice when looking through the 3D product page.

Nice review!! I use 3D Wash on my wife's black Golf over Poxy and it gives it a nice bump in gloss. It's also economical if you work out the cost per wash since you only need 1 oz in 3 gallons of water.

This is one of the only soaps that I've gone through an entire container of(because I have too many soaps) and I agree with your findings. I really like it.

Good to hear it sounds like it doesn't attract dust or pollen! I can't the same for a shampoo I just tested this morning :( Thanks for the review! I'll have to try it out once I finish my gallon of 3D Pink Car Soap.

Thanks guys. Glad you enjoyed this review. HD Wash surprised me and it is a great product.

Well spill the beans . I think you will like this one. I will have to give 3D pink soap a shot one of these days.

How does it compare to Gold Class?

I like Gold Class as well. Gold Class has conditioners in it. In my honest opinion that is a bit different than the wax protection HD Wash leaves behind. The dilution alone beats Gold Class. HD Wash at 3oz/1 gal of water compared to Gold Class at 1 oz/1 gallon of water. Both clean well.
