Reverting to CL ads

I put up an Express Detailing ad on CL and blocked my email info, leaving only my name and phone to reach me. However i keep getting spam from it and it doesn't make sense? Anyone know how that can happen? Does CL sell my hidden name to advertisers?
 
Are you getting spam in the form of texts or phone calls? I don't know how you get emails if your chose to have your email hidden.

Mike @ Auto Aesthetica told me that my email is still listed in the source code (HTML) that I used. I combed through all the code and low and behold, it was so I pulled it. I just can't believe spammers would go to that extent just to send a freakin email :flame: !

It's not even humans a good portion of the time, it's scripts and bots.
 
I tried CL for a bit simply because it is free, other than the time you spend re-posting ads. I had three different ads running for a few months straight. I got maybe one or two phone calls from horrible prospects, that never purchased services. I also got tons of SPAM. IMO, there are much better ways to market.
