Not sure what I did wrong, but I didnt find woolite and water to clean leather seats that great.

This is the procedure I use. Mix 6 parts water to 1 part Woolite (the liquid laundry version) in a spray bottle. Liberally spray the seat with the mixture, scrub with a small plastic bristle brush, and wipe dry with a clean terry cloth towel.

Yeah, i inquired the manufacturer about that (well lexus about the is300) and they said the perforation helps to "grip" you in the seat at higher speeds

I know the Lexus line very well and this is also the premium leather that they use on the Lexus LS430 one of my favorite cars (hopefully my next one). They use this, I am told, for two reasons, the seat stays heated and cooled easier with the airflow and they can use a I higher quality leather since it breathes. They claim you can clean it with the same products we use for non-perforated leather.

Anthony, did you get my private message? Thanks.

How do you guys mix up the Woolite (ratio of Woolite to water)? I've never done this and I'm keen to try it out.

Use 6 parts Distilled water and one part Woolite in a spray bottle. Use ONLY horsehair brushes if you need to loosen the dirt on the leather or "scrub" the leather. NEVER use a nylon brush!

Once the Woolite is on the leather and you have all the dirt loose, wipe off with another damp clean towel. Continue wiping off with clean damp towels untill all Woolite is off and leather is clean and free of Woolite. You can let it air-dry or use a dry terry towel. Once fully dry, add you conditioner if needed. Most leather is coated anyway, but I still love the smell from Zaino Z-10. Damn close to new leather smell.

You will also find that the mix is good to clean carpets too!

Deanski
