Replacement for Aero 303

I like to use Zaino Leather in a Bottle to refresh my seats, then I use the applicator and whatever is left on the pad and do the dash and door panels. It smells fabulous and gives you a nice even look, not greasy or shiny.

I like Poorboys Natural Look Dressing. Great looking product and just like everything else they make, it smells GREAT!!!

Ultima Interior Guard Plus is what you need my friend.

Personally I like 303AP for interior as well. No lasting smell after its buffed off.

Hey guys....

Need some advise.... really do like Aerospace 303, and will continue to use it on exterior. However I really don't like the way it smells. For those that have used it ... you know what i Mean. So looking for a good overall interior protectant that is comparable to 303... thanks for any recommendations.

Ron

Where are you using it in the interior Ron? With so many different materials in a interior of a car, one has to use different products.

I have used 303 on my tires and liked what it did. Last week I used it on my leather seats for the first time, and now I know why my interior doesn't smell right. It has got to be the 303. Off to the store today and try something else.

I like using Finish Kare Top Coat. Peppermint smell. Has cleaning ability. Sheen is somewhere in between 1Z and 303. I use all 3 and Megs Quik Mist & Wipe sometimes.

I bought a 32oz sprayer of 303 Aerospace Protectant a couple months ago. In my opinion this product is just OK at best. It really reminds me of Armor All's interior spray. It's looks identical, smells the same, sprays the same, and drys the same. The only real difference I see is it costs about 5X as much.

A while back I did a test on trim protectants.

  • 303 Aerospace
  • Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant
  • Poorboy's World trim Restorer

  • Poorboy's works really well leaving a rich black appearance to any plastic or rubber trim it's applied to. It does go on evenly and coats well. It's a little glossy but quickly dulls to a nice even black.
  • Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant works similarly to Poorboy's but I think Poorboy's World Trim Restorer edges out the win between these two in richness and overall appearance.

  • 303 Aerospace really didn't impress me at all and in my opinion is not even in the same class as Poorboy's World trim Restorer or the Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant. 303 Aerospace goes on milky and watery thin. It leaves streaking on wider areas and when it dries it's very dull and lifeless. To be quite honest it reminds me of Armor All which I stopped using nearly 30 years ago.

One thing to keep in mind is that all the testing was done on exterior trim. When applied to interior surfaces, 303 Aerospace did OK. I applied it to a cloth and wiped down interior surfaces leaving them clean and uniform.

Meguiar's M40 has been around for quite a while and for good reason. This product cleans, shins, and protects quite nicely. It leaves surfaces glowing not glossy and a leather scent to top it off.

M40 is my goto product for interiors..

:iagree:

Keep going back to #40. Maybe it's just old age and general grumpyness, I keep trying different products, but in the end...Meg 40.

So the smell is 'leather'? Never could pin the odor down...thanx.

Bill

If you like 303, you need to try Finish Kare 108, its very similar in its results. I use it on vinyl surfaces with great results. Its also way cheaper.

Cheers,
GREG

i like AG vinyl and rubber care its great for all rubber and vinyl smells wonderful and you can put on and wipe off for low sheen and let sit for 10 sec for high sheen....i love the stuff.
