Repairable?

Just wanted to see what you guys think. I have 1 dude that thinks this can be wet sanded down. I think all these areas need to be re-shot. Looks like there is NO clear coat left, and some deep scratches. Have no idea how this happened. Let me know what you think.

Needed my hand for some contrast:

Better shot down the channel of the roof:

Last shot of overall spotting on roof:

Thanks for taking a peek. Let me know what you all think is the best way to combat this stuff.

I could be wrong, but is that clear coat failure? Atleast in last pic, before wet sanding use a paint thickness gauge.

Would agree the last pic is cc failure, nothing short of a repaint will make that look great. sorry to be negative just trying to tell it like it is.

I doubt many shops would be willing to do just a hood and roof.

Besides, if they're shot the rest isn't far behind. Best to get the whole car re-sprayed.

hmm. . good point. . what do you think i'm lookin at to reshoot this car? its chrysler COncorde (4 door sedan).. .

You can get a paint job anywhere form $400 to $10,000 (or more).

You get what you pay for. It just depends on the quality he wants and how much he's willing spend.

He'll need to check with local painters for the going rates in your neighborhood.
