Repair of vinyl pinstripe?

Is it possible to use some type of adhesive to reattach a small section of pinstriping on a vehicle?
It is where two 1/16" pieces of tape join to make point at the front of a double stripe. It is lifted no more than 3/16 of an inch and appears to be completely intact, just not stuck down anymore.

hi using a tweezer to hold the end of the tape you can apply a little clear nail polish to the under side of tape ( very little) and re apply but why dont you just apply a new taped line with matching color tape.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Some of my reasons for not replacing the stripe.
1. Seemed silly to replace 4' of tape for a piece 1/4" long that wasn't stuck.
2. Finding matching tape for a 6 or 7 year old tape job is not always that easy. I tried to find matching tape for a stripe on my boat and after 3 months of looking, I found a place that would order me a 100' roll. I needed about 4" of tape. I just took the stripe off the boat.

FWIW, I heated the tape with a hair dryer and it seems to have stuck again. After a day, I applied some clearcoat touchup paint on that 1/4" section only. Looks good righr now, but time will tell.

Charles i have to agree, get the matching pinstrip and redo that piece..you can overlay a little to where it is still good...pm me if you need step by step prep and instructions;)
