Removing Swirls

Golf GTi 8v

I have these really deep swirl marks, cant get my fingernail through them. Using swirl remover only hides them for about a week, if that.

What are some products I could use to remove this?

I only have a random orbital buffer or by hand.

Here is a image of the nasty swirl marks that wont go away.

Thanks for your suggestions

I would go with Poorpboys SSR 3 with polishing pad (Ylw megs), follow with SSR1 and ylw Megs pad, and a coat of your favorite Polymer....

Looks like my paint.

There are several fantastic threads about getting swirlmarks or "marring" out of your paint. Do a search and you'll come up with lots of good stuff.

If the machine that you have isn't a PC, it might be better to do this by hand, even though it's going to be a ton more work. You're definitely going to need something stronger than a swirl remover on them.

Won't know until you try. That marring doesn't look impossible to fix...but you just gotta find out. Might thin out the clearcoat a bit, though.

Golf GTi 8v- Pick a product line- Meg's (DACP), PoorBoy's (SSR line), 3M (PI-III line-pns 05933 and 05937) or MY fave, 1Z and go at 'em. I too would say to work by hand if your "random orbital" isn't a PC/Cyclo/etc.

Heh heh, Scottwax would clear that up in no time, by hand.
