hi , got a 97 cobro with side hash marks with what looks like a chrome type tape, looks baked on how can i get this off??

Blow dryer and patience my friend.....Heat er up nice and good, and slowly peel the vinyl off, you may need to clean up residue with a citrus base cleaner, or 3M adhesive remover (mineral spirits)

You could use a heat gun, placed about 12 inches away from surface as to nott cook paint, but using it in a back and forth motion to soften the adhesive behind it so it is easy to remove using a fingernail.

I have had good results with a hair dryer.

I once used Hair dryer combined with Goo Gone and it seemed to work really well but not sure how good the Goo Gone is for paint but it does work to remove the sticky residue.

This might be a nono, but I used a littel wd-40 to remove some very persistent glue the dealer used for their dealership sticker. Didn't do any damage, after I removed the glue, I washed, and waxed over the area, good as new. It's been a year later now, no side affect or damage done. car looks great!

Not a problem LP, the key ingredient in WD-40 would be kerosene or mineral spirits, fairly harmless in a suspension product......and im sure you wiped on/off. Those two products can still probably be found in detailing products these days anyway.......
