Removing SG with QD?

If I remove SG with EO QD, am I affecting the layer of SG. Should I use plain water? Will using QD to remove SG dimish the quality of the SG.



I usually wait at lease 1 hour before removing.

When necessary I use FI with no issues.

I used Sonus Spritz today to remove SG, DavidB recomended it and I have been using it for a few years with great results.



I have never had hazing/smearing issues though since my cars are white or silver but for me I find using Sonus makes Klasse easy and has never seemed to effect durability in any way.

Since moving to California I use a QD to remove SG and have had no ill effects. I am using Mothers QD right now.

I've tried it, but for some reason I prefer to let it sit for an hour or so. I guess I feel if I am going to take the time to apply SG, I want maximum results.

I am curious....what makes you think that WOWO will not give you the maximum results from SG? I have let it sit overnight and used the damp MF / dry MF removal and have also used the WOWO method and cannot tell ANY difference in appearance or durability. The WOWO is a little less work but both are pretty easy in my experience. My only concern with waiting to remove the product is that dust and dirt may accumulate and then my buffing may cause some marring.....therefore, I am now WOWO all the way.

Good question, I feel that the product needs to bond to the next last layer for a while before wiping off, also I feel that I am just wiping the product off before it has a chance to bond. I don't have a technical explaination, just a gut feeling.



Actually I found that WOWO was difficult to remove(lots of streaking) vs. allowing to dry for several hours. I just removed the little haze that was on my 4Runner after applying SG last night and it cam off without even trying, then touch up with some QD and it looks great.
