Removing sand from carpets

I heard some guys talk about using a sander to vibrate sand out of carpets so I thought I would give it a shot. WOW. The mat shown was vacuumed and blown out with a tornador, it still had a small beach coming out of it. Great for inside the car too.

I think I remember you from a really old video where you were showing how much you had to polish to burn paint - that video is great and so is this one!

What is the plate on the sander covered with? I'd like to try this out on carpet inside my truck

It's a rubber bottom. I looked at the one that's a knock off of the mouse because I like the shape and size but unfortunately it had a Velcro bottom.
