Removing Rustproofing

I had Ziebart rustproof my car now I have this black mist on the door glass that won't come off.

I tried Isopropyl Alcohol no luck Paint thinner no luck what should I use that will remove this stuff without risking damage if I get it on the paint.

I tried the Lacquer thinner and got most of it off.
I had a spot that would not come off I used some acetone and it got it to dissolve but I had to do a very small area and wipe fast because it would dry before I could get it off.
This stuff sure is hard to remove.

I'm glad the thinner worked for the most part. The stuff can be a nightmare to get off. Its good you caught it right away. Once it really cures its next to impossible to remove.

You are right and that is the problem I bought a new car last September and had it rustproofed at Ziebart.
I did not really need the car but I liked it and I got a deal I could not pass up so I bought it had it rustproofed and removed the battery and put it in storage.
8 months later I get it out clean it up and notice the scum on the window.

That sucks. If you havent gotten it off the window yet you might try steel wool or a razor blade and glass cleaner. As long as you use glass cleaner neither one will damage the glass and will take almost anything off. I use steel wool when i clean exterior windows on every car i do. Fantastic at getting overspray, hard water spots, and bugs off.

I finally got the window clean but after I got the car washed and got bright light on it I can see tiny specs of the undercoating all over the paint. It is hard to see because the car is Black.

I have a new car with 318 miles on it covered with undercoating. :wall

I thought about calling them to pass it off on them but if this is the kind of work they do I don't think I want them doing anything too it. :surrender
