Good video, gave me something to think about (rubber brush). I’ve never used the rubber brush but I have and do, for some occasions use the Pet Stone. That said, the best pet hair removal tool that I’ve found is what you can find online as the SCHTICKY (many generic versions available at a better price).
I never have had to face the amount of pet hair shown in the video but I have a cat that lives in my garage and his fur sticks to rubber soles and ends up on my mats. The sticky rollers get pet hair out better than anything else I’ve tried. I would no doubt have to clean my roller (under running water) several times to get as much hair up as shown in the video. The stickey rollers also pickup small pebbles, grit and other garbage that a pet stone won’t.
RiversAlone- Welcome to Autopia! Yes indeed, that`s quite a first post, nice job (both with the cleanup and the video)!
Heh heh, noting that this *is* Autopia...I do think that Autopians doing *other people`s vehicles* will benefit from this the most, as I can`t imagine any of us letting an interior get that dog-haired
(Regulars here have already had an earful about how I keep our dog-haulers)

You’ve missed some awfully funny infomercials. The as seen on TV products were hilarious. The guy would literally throw it against the wall and it would stick. I’d suggest the clones if you can find them for a better price. I’ve had both and the the originals are no better or worse. You may actually know this product better as a Silicone Lint Roller.I`ve actually never heard of the "SCHTICKY" , so I`ll have to look into that! Thank you!
Welcome CER3! I`ve seen your videos somewhere else...reddit maybe? But I always enjoy quick educational detailing videos.
I prefer the stone except in tight areas or for carpet close to interior panels since it can scratch the panel if you`re not too careful. But like you I use both.
I`ll be researching that SCHICKY type of product now. I`m sure eBay has a cheap knock off![]()

Thanks for your great, informative, video..
Well thought out, very well done..
Have had my share of Cat cars/vans,etc & Dog cars/vans, etc, and combinations of each, but the worst one I ever had was a big, black trashed Toyota Sequoia, that had 11 dogs living in it for a few years..
The young woman who was driving it apparently did not think it was a bad thing to do this - until her Mother saw what had happened to HER Sequoia and made Missy go get HER Sequoia cleaned up..
Only the 2nd time I ever had to wear an Osha respirator to clean out the inside but I got it back to beautiful and should have sold the lbs of dog hair to those people that probably make Dog-Wigs or something...
I used both a nice black rubber brush and the Pumice Stone and my most powerful MetroVac and my poor Mytee HP60 Extractor, but finally won the battle and the SUV was beautiful inside and out..
When Mom came by to pay for it, she loved it so much that she took it back from Missy and who knows what happened after with those dogs...
I was glad that the vehicle was not going to get trashed again..

I`m actually shocked on how many pet people don`t have dog/cat hammocks in their vehicles when they bring their pets places or on road trips.
My buddy does and it makes a huge difference with his husky!

Yeah, I pretty much have to do a cleanup after every dog outing, and that`s almost dailyExplicitDetail said:...I have a large golden retriever who sheds an absurd amount of fur so I still have to clean it out of the car on a regular basis...
This was one of the first purchases I made when I bought a new vehicle this past summer...well worth the investment, although I have a large golden retriever who sheds an absurd amount of fur so I still have to clean it out of the car on a regular basis.
I wasn`t super impressed with the rubber brush myself, I find it can be somewhat helpful in loosening up fur that has started to embed in the fabric, but it doesn`t seem to pull it all out. I`ve actually found the most effective way is to rub my hand (no gloves) across the surface (whether it`s a a cloth interior, my comforter, or the microfiber couch in my living room) with medium pressure and that helps me clump most of the fur together for easy vacuuming. I may have to give the stone a try next...
Wonder when the Schticky first came out...I inherited a set of `em from my father and they were obviously quite old when he passed (back in 2002).
I gotta admit I only use the hammock in the sedans, the Tahoe being purpose-configured for dog-hauling (as in, removal of people seats in the back). It`s a little tricky in Crown Vics since they don`t have rear headrests, but still doable.

RiversAlone- Ah, interesting about those dates! Yeah, must be some kind of rebranding, mine are so old the plastic was pretty yellow when I opened them.
And, heh heh...I sometimes feel that it`s more like I tag along with the dogs, playing chauffeur...uhm, I mean "pack leader"![]()
