removing over spray (clear coat)

Enlisting ScottWax's help sounds like the *best* solution yet! If here were 10 minutes away from *me* he'd have another customer ;)

i only hope he tells me that he doesn't do painting, because if he does, i'll feel like a fool for not taking my car to him first...or at least asking him where to go!

Scottwax, I'd be very interested in hearing more about that Clearkote Compound. I don't have any, but I have about 7 other heavy-cut compounds. Does the Clearkote have a high concentration of solvents (or something) that would help it soften and break down overspray? Also, I'm guessing that burgandy has a big part in the equation, as it's really porous and stiff.

www.mistercollision.com is the best paint/body shop in the DFW area. Not just opinion but it is also State Farm's top rated shop.

BTW, free if I show you how, $$ if I do all the work. ;)

RAG-Everett is pretty vague about what exactly is in the compound but it is somewhat abrasive-though they seem to break down quickly. Seems to do a pretty good job on spider swirls with a polishing pad on most paints.

BTW, I removed the fence sealer on that GMC Sierra using a burgandy pad only on the hood, the rest I was able to remove just with a polishing pad.

i wish i had asked you before i got my body work done. i will call you next week or weekend sometime. i have to work a whole lot during the week, and this weekend i have to go out of town. i'm looking forward to it!

Sure thing. Sunday would be out though, I have a 911 and an X5 to detail in Grapevine. Heck, this Sunday, I have two F-250s, an LX470 and a Cayenne to polish and wax. :eek

This dry, warmer than normal weather is making this a great January so far!
