Removing grease on paint

My car was towed away last night. As a result, there are a couple quarter-size spots of black grease on the hood and fenders. Looks like the grease was transferred & smeared on from the towtruck driver's gloves.



What products/steps would you recommend for safe removal?

I hope it's just grease and that there isn't also some marring.



I'd probably use a degreaser like EF High-Intensity on a plush MF. Or you could use a solvent along the lines of 3M Adhesive Remover/PrepSol/etc. If anything remains I'd use a paint cleaner such as Meg's Deep Crystal #1 or AIO.



Whichever approach you use, I'd do it as part of an overall wash- wash first but don't get the nasty grease stuff on your mitt. Plan on having to redo your LSP where ever you used the degreaser/solvent.
