Removing dye is easier than shooting video!

First things first, I have to say, mad props to those who are shooting quality videos. Photography is cake compared to good video. For this short clip, I don't want to say how many retakes I had to do. :tongue2: It seems like whenever you hit the record button, you get marbles in your mouth. I was also using a camcorder that had a a 1" screen and I couldn't tell everything was out of focus before I got it on the computer. I would have re-shot but I was out of test material. So this is it:

I've had issues with dye transfer from blue jeans. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out a good way to remove it. A magic eraser was working but its not something I want to keep using. Leathermaster Strong was pretty useless. IPA seemed to work ok but it took lots of time and elbow grease. I decided to try out Meguiars Leather Cleaner and Conditioner D180. I had good luck with other sorts of dirt and grime so I decided to give it a try. Much to my surprise it worked extremely well. I love the stuff and it smells so good. Anyway, hope you enjoy the video.

The video came out superb! :xyxthumbs I just wish that Megs leather cleaner came in smaller sizes rather than a gallon. It sounds like a good addition to anyone's leather cleaning line up. Also, glad you didn't have/use LM Super Cleaner/Remover-- that stuff is too strong!

I love the video! It's especially nice to be able to see in detail how you are applying the cleaner, see and hear how hard you are pushing, and see in live time how quickly something works. Awesome!

What pads/wipes are you using?

Nice vid Dan. D180 is a seriously underrated product.

People should note that the automatic "linking" from the forum brings you to the incorrect product. It brings you to paid advertising for advanced, but D180 for those who didn't know is a completely different product.

Looks good, Dan! I just picked up the Leather Masters "Ink Away" stick with my last round of product ordering, so I'll be interested to see how it does by comparison. I've never used D180 but it seems pretty impressive.

Thanks guys. I was using a cotton makeup applicator for those wondering. I agree, its a bummer that the stuff is only available from Meguiars by the gallon, but luckily ADS sells sample sizes.

Yeah, I wonder how they'd stack up together, the Ink Away looks interesting indeed.
