Removing Dried Polish From.......

Need some advice on removing dried SEPC which I managed to get into some very tight trim areas. :doh :(

I've already tried wooden toothpicks but they are too large and can't get in far enough into the cracks to remove the polish.

Is there anything else I can use that won't damage the paint. A boars hair brush might work but would require some serious force to scrape off the polish, I'm worried that this would micromar the paint around the crack.

Any help would be really apprecieated.

Maybe a soft bristle tooth brush and EO Wet Wipe & Shine.

The Wipe & Shine cuts thru old polish and wax pretty good.

MBZ 500E- I'd modify rd_volvo's suggestion a bit. If you're worried about BOAR'S HAIR scratching (it really is gentle), then DON'T try a toothbrush. But the idea of using a QD to soften up the residue is good.

I usually whittle down the wooden sticks from cotton or foam swabs; I sharpen them to the exact size I need. Their length should be sufficient for your application. Keep them wet with the QD and go EASY so you don't mar the surface and you should be fine.

Hmm I'll have to give that a try. I just ordered some medical swabs from Griots (can't seem to find them locally) so when they arrive I'll try that combined with the QD you both suggest.

Results to follow this weekend. Thanks for the suggestions and if you think of others let me know.:up

Many grocery stores have bamboo skewers that are ideal for this work. About 15 cm long and 2.5 mm diameter. Very sharp ends. Easily sanded. Maybe 100 in a package for a couple of dollars.
