I bought a set of OEM headlamps that were retrofitted with HIDs. The retrofitter put clearcoat on the lenses. The initial result was great. They were clear and glossy.
Now the paint is starting to peal from the top down revealing a hazy plastic underneath. I don't have any problem polishing the clear plastic but the paint seems to be pealing under it's own will. I can pick and get pieces off but I can't control it. I'd rather remove all of it and polish all at once.
I've used acetone to get paint off things before but I'm not sure I should use it on the lens in fear it may ruin it.
Any thoughts?
