Removing caked on static cling stickers

I placed a static cling sticker on the inside of the rear window years ago in high school but over the years the hot Florida weather caked on the paint onto the window. Does anyone know what would be useful in removing melted plastic and paint?

Razor blade, they're unequaled in sticker removal on glass surfaces!

Dont forget to use a liquid to help lube it and break down the adhesive, although I'm not sure there will be any adhesive. lol

Careful with the blade if the sticker covers a defrost grid.
