Removing bumper inserts?

I'm picking up an 03 Cobra this weekend, and it has one flaw: stainless steel bumper inserts.

I'm going to black out all the lights and tint the windows as dark as they'll go for a very black look, and the shiney bumper inserts just won't jive. The question is how to get them off? I've heard I can "saw" them off with dental floss, but I'm sure plenty of double sided tape will remain on the bumper. How can I remove it without damaging the paint?

For some reason the link doesn't work just go to autozone they sell an adhesive remove called 'Gila' film and anhesive remover

Dental floss, hair dryer, 3M Wax and Adheisive Remover. Maybe nail polish, lighter fluid, etc. Just test it on the paint first.
