All About The Bling Bling
Everyone knows how hard it is to get a red koolaid or ink stain out. What do you guys use that works well?

I've got one way that i learned from an old timer that i try that gets it up some of the time depending on what it is. i soak the spot with alcohol or lauqer thinner, take a white terry cloth towel cover the hot plate of an iron turned on dry heat and place it over the stain and let it work. It takes several times of flipping the towel and soaking the spot again to remove.

Now yes you can easily redye the spot but i like to leave that as a last resort cause as i was once told if it wasn't there when it was new it will come out you just gotta figure out how.

That's not true. If the carpet has been dyed then you won't get that out. Some things like concentrated Kool Aid, organic stains from food, chemical stains like bleach or acids, and others like that are not going to come out and will have to be redyed.

You might try Google for a product that is called, (I think), Redout. I once read some pretty impressive claims, but have no actual knowledge of what it can do.
Try: red out stain remover for your Google search string.

I use some red stain remover with an iron like for mentioned. Seems to work really well so far. I bought it through a mail order company for like $50 a half gallon.

Red Food Dye Stains-
Removing ‘Red’ stains is one of the toughest to remove because usually a red food dye is used and if spilled on fabric or upholstery it will dye it. Use Red Stain Remover (topoftheline.com) is a unique formulation that removes super tough red stains. Spray the solution on the stain and agitated with a brush to make sure it has penetrated the fibre. Allow it to sit a few minutes to insure the chemical "action" dissolves the dye.

Place a dry towel over the fabric / carpet area and press with a hot iron, as the heat draws the dye to the towel so it can be lifted from the fabric. The process may take a couple of applications especially if stain is old, or has been allowed to set for some time. Follow with a thorough by hand-cleaning using Woolite® Heavy Traffic Carpet Cleaner), or with a carpet extractor. Once carpet is thoroughly dry protect it from future stains (using 303 Fabric Protector).
