Red Truck... Souveran and Trade Secret

Well, many of you have no doubt tried both as I have, but it has been almost two years now since I last used the trade secret on my truck. Started the spring with a couple coats of Wolfgang's and then began topping with Souveran paste after every washing. I'd put a couple to three coats on anyway after each washing (yea, whether it needed it or not!).

Well, yesterday I decided to top it all off with the Trade Secret. So I put a coat on. Yea, ok, not bad. This morning I added the second coat of Trade Secret. I'm impressed with it once again. I like the look and it's really shining.

I knew I could tell a difference between the two waxes, but had never done them this close to each other before. I'm amazed at the difference in the two looks on my truck.

The Trade Secret is definitely shinier, seems a more crisp look somehow, whereas the Souveran has a nice warm and much softer look to it. I prefer the Souveran, but the Trade Secret comes in a very close second and is very nice for a change of pace.

Another great carnauba to try is Max Wax from the DP line.... runs close to the Souveran.
But your right Souveran is a favorite, it is mine at least!

Dp is great stuff. I think DP might just be a little more favoriter than my trade secret. I havnt picked up souveran yet because I already have:

nxt paste
s100 paste
max wax paste
pinnacle signature paste
trade secret paste
butter wax liquid

you get the point haha

Well, I really don't care that much for the Trade Secret on my wife's very dark blue car with metal flake. I mean it's ok, but nothing impressive. Now the Souveran really does very nicely on her car.

I'll be claying both of them very soon and starting over, well, next month most likely, though my truck may be started sooner as some animal just walked all over my hood last night - leaving marks of course. Hopefully Scratch-X will get them out. I'd hate to dig the buffer and SSR's out just for a few small but obvious spots. (Sometimes I don't know why I bother with everything going against these two vehicles in the past 8 months).

thats weird. I LOVE TS on my Dark Blue Metallic Mustang. Then again, i have 4 coats of FMJ as a base, so maybe that could mean something :D

It could. But then personal preference probably makes the greater difference. So much of this is in the eye of the beholder. Aftr all the science and all the art of this, personal preference trumps them all! :)
