Red Jetta goodness :)

Just an excellent piece of work. I, too, envy the weather, and the fact that you detail barefoot!

Gotta have sneakers on my old dogs.

that first pic makes me ill...it's pretty rude to leave that much cr@p in a car when someone is going to clean it. i don't think it's unreasonable to ask an owner to remove junk like that prior to a detail.

great results though!!!

Great job! The tornado red looks great.:up

You had awesome results using the PC only too. VW clear sux.

You're defniately right, I had a very hard time removing the defects, the car is about 7 years old and the clear was cracking on the mirrors, I do not have a paint guage so I was going real light on the polish, didnt want to mess up the clear because it already seemed to be lacking, but it turned out about as good as I'd hoped, wasnt expecting 100% correction, the owner wanted something to hold him over until he looks into getting a new paint job :werd:

So how long did the entire process take? Does the Optimum products work well in the sun?

took me about 6-7 hours, was taking my time and also showing the owner how to work in the polish/break down stages, and yes the Optimum line works well in the sun, Usually I will bring the car inside, but it was nice out and the direct sunlight wasnt very harsh so I kept her outside..

Hey guys. I am the owner of the jetta. I just wanted to say that I'm a friend of sftempest. I was with him during some of the detail helping out to see how he works his magic, so I didnt leave all the crap in the car for him to throw out. That was my job.

Thanks for the comment about the wheels, I just put them on last week.
