Red Ferrari 360 Modena

This is a Ferrari 360 Modena which is definitely my favorite car of all times :spot . The owner brings it to me every spring to get it looking good for the summertime. The last time I detailed the car was at the end of last summer, so it was in excellent shape to start with. Although it was in great shape, the paint lacked that deep, wet look that Ferrari red is famous for. When the owner dropped the car off to me, he told me he would like me to use this "special Italian wax" that he had bought. I was thinking it was going to be some junk no-name wax, but to my surprise it wasn't. When I looked onto the passenger seat I saw a brand new jar of Souveran and just smiled. He asked me not to buff the car because he didn't feel it needed it so I did it all by hand.

My process:

Washed complete exterior

Cleaned wheels & engine compartment

Removed grease from the bottom panels with Nylon Spotter solvent

AIO by hand on complete exterior & wheels

RMG by hand

Souveran x2 by hand

Dressed tires & wheel wells with Super Blue dressing

Polished Tubi exhaust & tips with Wicked Metal Polish

Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer on interior, quick vacuum & windows

 Modena....

Rick, do you ever get nervous detailing such expensive cars? Or has it become second nature to you?

Looks great!

Rick, great work as always! I'm a big fan of the 360 too although I think I like the new 430 a little better. I would take either though. ;)

Next time that guy comes in make sure you tell him that Soveran is made in the good ol' U-S-A. :) :2thumbs:

Beautiful detail! I wish I could get a hold of one to detail. A ferrari dealer is right down the street from where I live and I seriously would detail one for free so I can have the pics on my website and get referrals!

OMG. That's just beautiful. I can't imagine walking out from eating dinner and plopping down in that fine leather seat, hearing that Tubi exhaust shriek to life, and drive off down the boulevard. I need to win the lottery.

Looks great. Was it really necessary to do both AIO topped with RMG? Especially considering the great shape you reported the car to be in...

It wasn't really necessary, but I didn't buff the car so I figured the AIO would be a good light polish to use on the paint. AIO also darkens the paint considerably and gives it some added protection which is why I chose to use it.

Awesome - that is my dream car too (except with black interior). It must have been nice to do that car!

pardon the newbie question, but what is RMG?
