But you don't need to jack this way. It's just a bit easier.
Don't bother with this jack pad. It's far too tall if your car has a low clearance or if your pinch welds are at low locations. It's best used with a low profile jack. I've owned one and chucked it as it wouldn't fit under any of my cars with a non low profile jack. The other pinch weld adapter that mounts in the jack's saddle slot is a better option in my opinion as it allows for more clearance and it won't accidentally slip as it's secured in the saddle slot.
As for the Sears jacks, I've owned 2 and both failed
