^^ Great post. I completely agree with the Makita/SImoniz comparison. There are two reasons I ordered the Bissell... main reason is that I wouldn't use it much AT ALL. Out of 10 details, I might do 1 or 2 interiors, and those are all spotless other than needing a thorough vacuuming and some a good leather cleaning. No stains, smells, etc. Second reason is that I'm completely new to the steam cleaners and just want to learn a bit. As demand for interiors picks up, and I assume it will as I will advertise it more as I learn more and more how how to do it properly, I will definitely look into a "real" steam cleaner/extractor to get the job done.

Thanks, I finally got to share my shampooing knowledge ! Screw Meg's 105 / 205 !!!! :rofl

The LGM isn't the worst machine on the planet, it's certainly better than trying to use a shop vac / spray cleaner combo. I just find that a lot of people recommend the LGM and make it seem a bit "better" than it really is. For learning though, it'll be a GREAT tool ! If you can learn with the LGM and get things clean with just that, then you'll be zipping through shampooing when you switch up to a higher quality extractor.

That's the plan. As I said, I honestly haven't cleaned more than a couple stains over 3-4 years. However, there's a demand in the area and I'd love to learn how to do it, then learn how to do it efficiently, then offer it as a service and make millions! haha Joking aside, I really am only looking to learn a bit and start with my car and a few clients' cars, then go on from there.

AeroCleanse what kind of Vapor Steam Cleaner do you have. I don't have a problem renting a carpet extractor from home depot for a couple times, but eventually I want to get my own. But as far as a Vapor Steam Cleaner I hear it cleans better and faster and sanitizes everything so I would like to get that before, plus I've seen it used on spot cleanings

I use a Unilux 3000 There are other units out there as well. At the price it was almost a direct trade for my hot water extractor.

I should be trying out the LGM tonight. I know it's nothing to write home about but I'm fairly anxious to try it out.

I'd love to hear about your LGM experience and your thoughts on it. My only experience with the LGM is using it because my larger more powerful extractor was down, so my point of view might be a bit skewed (the best comparison I can come up with is using a $50 polisher from Pep Boys AFTER you've used a PC 7424). So I'm interested in hearing what you thought of it as your entry-level machine. Just make sure you spend some extra time going over the carpet / fabric without spraying solution, so you can get as much sucked out as you can, otherwise it'll take hours and hours for the interior to dry.

I have a Gaia steamer/ extractor combo machine got it from vapor clean . You can do a combo of steam and 180 degree hot water extraction at the same time.

look at my post on the 350 000 km accord, i used an Aztec Hot Rod extractor, you can get them cheap through steambrite.
