that SS looks great, you must really need to look at it if it needs polishing

looks good to me :bow

Up close in the sun it has some light scuffing and marring due to being driven on country roads. Not real bad and my customer didn't seem to care so he said it could wait until fall.

Teriffic work as usual, Scott! I always look forward to your posts because you share so much information. Your passion for detailing is obvious. Your kinda like the Martha Stewart of the Autopian Nation! (lmao! Without the whole prison thing, ofcourse. ) I'm currently in "Carnauba Mode" so I've had the chance to use my recent purchase of DP Max Wax on the BlkTac. I find it to be a cross between Souveran & P21S. It's a pleasure to use & produces sweet results. HOWEVER........I've got some bad news. I'm pretty sure that the kids who see me detailing all the time were the ones who keyed the tailgate of my truck the other night. I'm livid, to say the least. The DEEP key scratch is about 15" long & is too deep to buff out. What would you suggest I do to repair it? (paint pen?)

I started the trend on Autopia, so I get to â„¢ it. ;)

Find a competent body shop who can either spot repair and blend or shoot the whole tailgate. Anything less will be noticable.

Kind of funny you'd ask me that, I got a call on Monday and one today from customers who had accidents and wanted to know who I recommended do the work. :)
