Recent details V.I can't come up with anything clever :(

I used some scretch X today on a black car and did an excellent job, by hand, but it sure did take a some muscle to get recults. Used a yellow Meg foam pad. Hope it helps.

That's what I used, a yellow foam pad and all I was doing was the areas behind the doorhandles, to get rid of all the fingernail scratches. It took some serious rubbing to get rid of it, but it worked. I was just reading how Scott was using the ScratchX for blending and smoothing purposes and was wondering how he was doing this. I can't imagine it was by hand, but he doesn't say.

I use ScratchX by hand using a folded terry cloth towel. I don't know how it compares to 3M products because I don't use any.

I only use ScratchX for paint transfers and localized light scratches. Anything more or larger areas and I bust out the PC and DACP or #80.

:lol

That line always cracks me up when I watch Happy Gilmore. I couldn't think of anything either.

I can definatley notice the difference between EX and EX-P...I think it becomes more obvious once you use it.

Souveran looks great, but I'd rather use Natty's since it's more price friendly.

Have you tried it yet?

Sean-I do have some Nattys and I use that also. It looks extremely wet, but I think Souveran has a bit more depth. Is it worth the much higher cost? If you are willing to pay it, yes. Honestly, I think the average person would be amazed at how good Meguiars #16 looks over properly prepped paint and balk at paying even a couple dollars more for S100.

great job... all that cars look awesome.. you and black cars.... some kind of bonding going on there?

:nixweiss Not sure. I know I do a lot of black cars. I have some customers who only own black cars. I guess I just get a lot of practice!

Now that I have a black car, I am even more anal about it. Probably not a good thing since I don't have much time left at the end of the day for maintaining my car.

How do you like EX vs. EX-P? I just got some EX-P and tested it out on my hood and was very impressed with it. It was much deeper looking then I expected. I then topped half the hood with S100 to see what kind of a difference it made and I couldn't tell them apart. I'll try again tomorrow in the sun rather then in my garage.

Also, what kind of camera do you use for those pics?

Hey Scottwax

Many thanks for your continual inspiration. :bow

Much appreciated! :xyxthumbs

(I've been lurking here for a long time and have only just started to break out... from here in the rainy gray UK!)

I just LOVE to look at those great pics of yours.

Keep up the BRILLIANT work!

Wow I guess I missed those pics. That Linc. Nav. is simply amazing!!!:bow

Honestly, that picture doesn't do it justice. I was stunned at how well it turned out. The paint really looked liquid. He wants me out in 3 months to polish and wax it again, so I guess he was happy too!

BTW, those new Navigators are real nice inside, a huge improvement over the first generation!
