That is not a PC. PC stands for Porter Cable.

I've got two, very similar ones at home.

They are fine for someone that isn't as particular as most of us here.

The main thing is the size of the bonnet - it's too big to do the more detail work the smaller size bonnet of the PC can.

Using my school boy physics:

Watts (110) / Volts (240) = .458 Amps

The PC has 3.7 amps, therefore is significantly more powerful and expensive.

~One man’s opinion~

There is a product here called “Waxmaster 900, OK to practice with but not in the same league as a Porter-Cable orbital. If you decide to go for a PC I'm sure 'Lowejackson' could tell you where to get one in UK

Experience unshared; is knowledge wasted…/

Yes, this looks like a Waxmaster clone, of which there are many and I can't tell any difference between them except colour. :p Try a search for this name.

Don't forget this machine will also use a limited choice of bonnets, not the velcro foam pads the PC uses... lots of subtle differences between this machine and the PC.

I am pretty sure the PC is not available in the UK as I don't think PC make any 240volt versions, they are all 110volt. I imported mine from Coastal Tools & use a step-up.

These cheap ones will do far more harm than good.

I received one of those orbitals from Sears as a gift for detailing a car one time (Before I bought a PC)...It beats anything I could do by hand but it's not in the same class as a PC.
