"real fire" paint?

My brother was trying to describe this new paint that gives the illusion not just of color changing, but the look of liquid, real flames with motion as some sort of optical illusion. I can't find anything on it online, probably because I don't know quite what I'm looking for.

Anyone heard of this?

I believe the guy that got the "Tru Fire" thing going was Mike Lavallee. Now everyone seems to be air brushing real flame paint jobs. Check out Mike's work on his website HERE.

Dude have you seen the RIDES with his work?? They show him doing a car and mix in everything he has done the Boat with the dragon on top and the flames on the sides is sick

Thats the guy he does some sick work he did the Jack Osborne BMW suv with skulls and such that was sweet and a mural of the family with skull faces, can't remember the name of the show though. Guy is amazing to watch work

He just does the paint. His hood was an experiment on his own stuff. Hasn't been touched up since the clear was put on.

His talent is in the painting not detailing.

I've got to find some video of this somewhere. The paint jobs look amazing, but from what I understand you have to see it in motion to get the full effect... Cool stuff.
