Ready to purchase microfiber towels

are very good. They are large and do a good job with QD'ing. MF is slightly overrated to me, but they have their place, to me for QD'ing and finishing jobs like windows. Not really made for wax removal, but some guys use 'em for it so it depends. I've got a shit-load of MF but find myself reaching for a soft cotton towel most of the time.

They are listed in the order of plushness...

1. No-name MF's from AutoZone and Sams. These are fine for jobs around the house like wiping the fireplace glass and sink. I also use a couple with 303, and just leave it saturated in a ziplock bag between uses. Very inexpenisve and not plush at all. I also use these under the hood (again using 303).

2. Ultra-Suede MF towels from topoftheline. These are very soft but are rather like flannel. Unbeatable for buffing to a perfect shine after removing your sealant. Do this only if the paint is impecably clean as trapped dirt WILL scratch your paintjob. Also good when used with isopropyl alcohol on glass when you need a quick touchup.

3. Green Viper MF towels from topoftheline. Despite what you have read in this thread about Viper towels not being very plush, the towels I got were pretty darn plush. I think they vary from batch to batch, so your mileage may vary. I have used these for all sorts of stuff, including QD'ing, removing Zaino, windows, door jambs, and especially drying (along with an Absorber usually). I had a linting problem with them initially - a few washes later they were fine.

4. I just bought some (10) of YoSteves towels and they are my favorite right now and very reasonably priced. They were almost lint-free from the start. Much more so than the Viper towels. I have just washed them for the first time after using them as they arrived from YoSteve. You should probably wash them first but I didn't and they were fine. They were actually not quite as thick as the Viper towels were initially but very soft and seemed to me to be a finer weave - that is, more threads per inch. These are now my drying and QD towels of choice, and I have also dedicated a couple to glass and a couple to wiping stuff down like dashes and stuff. These towels and the Viper towels work best if you don't use them totally dry. Mist them with a few sprits of distilled water if you were planning on using them dry. I even do this before I QD (both sides).

Hope this helps you.

Glad you liked the towels CyberCowboy. I wish more people could have more favorable experiences with the new Magic Towels as we have had.
