Rasky's Auto Detailing: 2008 VW R32

that is one heck of a color. Very nice work. Wow to say the least as the car in its finished state looks like a pool of water.

Makes me want to get out and correct my car LoL. It's an identical color too.

Nice job! And the tail lights need to be wet sanded and cleared and wet sanded again, then buffed ;) Then they will look like factory lights... Niteshades looks like crap when it isn't done right... like on that R32...

Thank you! I think my next car needs to be a color like this...metallic at the very least. ;)

Yeah, the lights should definitely be sanded and I'm pretty sure the owner will end up doing it himself.

Thank you!

Not sure how I feel about them yet. I definitely prefere the feel of the LC Classic pads from PAC better, but it could just be a matter of getting used to how stiff the Hydro's are. They definitely worked well on this car though. :bigups

Looks great, Chad! I did the identical car not too long ago and found the clear to be very hard and took a while to correct.

As for the hydro-tech pads, have you used them via rotary yet?? If not, you are definitely missing out. I find them to work much, much better via rotary and don't care for them too much on the PC, especially the cyan pad. The tangerine pad works decent because it is a little softer than the cyan, but prefer to finish off with the classic style pads.

On a car with hard clear, such as this R32, I would typically use SIP on a cyan hydro-tech pad via rotary and follow it up with PO203S using a 5.5 inch flat orange classic pad. On most paints, I can finish off perfectly with PO203S/classic orange on the PC and will only do an additional step if needed.

Awesome work!! :2thumbs:

My original test spot was with SIP via rotary and the Cyan pad. It knocked down the cob-webbign very well and left the paint with a great gloss and close to LSP ready. However, after one pass with the SIP a lot of deeper rids that were hidden by the webbing appeared and I had to make 2-3 passes with SIP to get them where I wanted. Given the longer working time of Menzerna I felt that M105/M205 was a better option for the rest of the car given the amount of RIDS. This was my first crack at the Hydro's on the rotary though. ;)

I do have a black CTS-V coming Friday in similar condition for a 2-step correction and I'm thiking of going with Menzerna/Hydro on it, as I really liked how SIP responded on past Caddy's I've done. I don't have Power Finish yet (adding to list now), but I do have PG, SIP, Nano, FPII, and PO85RD.

Thanks for the info BTW! :)

Looks like you had a lot more mods than I thought....the guys over on Autogeek were asking about them. ;)

Great job! All the photos I've seen where BF Wet Diamond was used sure look great. I'm going to have to try it.

Is that A-H 3000 your car? How about some shots of it?

Great work on that beautiful R! The owner should picked the right man for the job.

And +1 to the owner for picking some nice mods. I bet she sounds awesome!

The Healey belongs to a friend of mine who is a dealer. This is the 2nd of his two Healey's I'm working on. The 1st one is done and sold already...here is the write up on the 1st one. The second car (White BJ7) is getting a full restoration and will be heading to Barret Jackson in April. ;)

Nice! I had a '56 BN2 MANY years ago. Still have a special spot in my heart for the old Healy's! Such gorgeous cars.

I got to drive around the red one for about 40 miles and it was definitely a neat little car. She ran like a top after having the carbs redone. ;)
