Ranking paint hardness

That's a fair assessment. Not completely accurate, but it does take longer to correct swirls with hard paint.
 
Thanks to everyone who posted. I started this thread out of curiosity, but also for information. I detail three cars, an 06 Lexus with ridiculously and irritatingly soft paint, an 04 Nissan Murano with harder paint, and my father-in-law's 98 Buick with an even harder finish. I like doing the Nissan the best.
 
And then there's always the issues of some panels or the entire vehicle being repainted (granted it's not a hack job and is actually matched to the oem paint)...
