hey does anyone know if rainx glass polish is any good? It's a wax actually. I saw it at Advanced Auto Parts. It has a great pricetag so I'd like to give it a try. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks :up

I've never really used rainx glass polish. Sounds like it can't hurt to give it a try.

I have used the regular rainx on boat windshields and that works really well for that application. Maybe I'll also try their glass polish on boats too.

Thanks for posting.

Rain-X glass WAX SUCKS. Don't waste your money, just get the 'regular' Rain-X

NO! Don’t use it. It sucks! I used it and wished I hadn't. It doesn’t apply evenly. The regular stuff is a thousand times better.

If you want to use something really good on your glass, then try either Clearkote's Vanilla Moose or Klasse AIO. Both go on and off a lot easier, no streaking and the beading effect lasts a lot longer.

Hey Don,

Could you tell me what the difference is between the regular Rain-X and the "wax"; I mean in regard to manufacturer's claims, application and performance.

Thanks Brother!

"Regular" Rain-X feels almost like rubbing alcohol, wipes on easy, buffs off fairly easy and makes glass water and dirt repellant.

The 'glass wax' is like a watery car wax, doesn't spread well (dries too fast) and leaves smears when buffed off...I only tried it on one window & it was so horrible, I didn't even do the whole window.
