I was wondering if anyone had tried to apply Rain-X to the windshield of an LS430. I remember reading somewhere that the Lexus windshields are coated with a water repellant -- would applying Rain-X over this coat have any adverse effects? Anyone ever try this?
I have seen others mention (by people selling Aquapel) that the Lexus cars and jeeps are treated with Aquapel so I can't imagine why you would spoil that with Rain-x unless the Aquapel is gone.
I have used Rain-X on my F150 and Toyota 4Runner with no issues at all. I think the key is to apply it before you wash the car. No worries with streaking etc.
