Quik Shine Dilution

I got my second batch of new products (VW, EX-P, QS, DACP, #9)to try based on various posts on this site and now have some follow-up questions I'll be posting. The first question is:

Should I really use tap water to dilute the one gallon size Quick Shine as the bottle says? To me this is not intuitive given that a lot of tap water is hard and contains many minerals. I plan on using distilled water. What do you alll use?

When QS is shipped, it is shipped in concentrated liquid to save on shipping. You have to add water. Add distilled water.

Cool. I didn't know that. What is the ratio?
There is no measuring involved. The concentrate is shipped in a gallon jug; when you receive it, there will be about a cup, maybe two cups at the most (been a long time since I got mine, so I don't recall the exact amount). Fill the jug to the top, shake, transfer to sprayer, and use.

I wouldn't be suprised if the quart versions that are premixed with water are done with plain old tap water. If you have the option to use distilled or deionized water, do it if you want.
