QUICK, powerful tire cleaner...

I am about to order a new set of tires and I want to keep these babies in tip top visual condition. I basically would like some suggestions as to the best (arguable I'm sure) tire cleaner and deep, wet, glossy tire dressing. I previously used Wesley's Bleche-White coupled with Black Magic Tire Wet spray but, due to the numerous comments on its "browning" capabilities I will hereby discontinue the use of Bleche-White.

Any and all suggestions are welcome, but please give the reason that you feel a certain way about a certain product and make sure you say how long you've been using the product or if you've used it at all.....Thanks guys...

I use various tire cleaners and sometimes just a mixture of dawn to clean the tires.

For protectants I use 303, Zaino tire dressing or the Eagle 1 stuff....all are the water based PDMS variety. They give a nice satin new tire look.

I use Vinylex or TW 2001 Tire Gel for protectants -- these are more shiny than the 303, etc. if you are looking for a shinier look. If you buff them good, it's not too shiny, tho. (I like my tires in between the matte look and the super shiny look)

I've used is Meguire's Gold Class Endurance tire protectant gel and really like the results. I go for a lower gloss finish; but, for a higher shine apply two or more coats waiting at least 10 minutes between coats. Smells good too - call it grape bubble gum. It's a gel, so no messy overspay on the wheels or garage floor.:up

I just bought a set of Michelin LTX M/S for the truck and I've been using a brush with Mother's wash to clean off the mud. Dawn would work - probably cheaper.

For cleaning the tires, I really like a 50/50 mix of EFHI and water. Spray on, agitate the raised white letters, and hose off. I never use a chemical cleaner on the rims. Just whatever shampoo I happen to be using (currently Z7) and water.

For tire dressing, I use Meguiars #40, but its not glossy. My preference is matte. I have used the Endurance tire gel, and a couple coats of that will yield a glossy appearence.

There are lots of threads and polls discussing favorite tire protectants. Please do a SEARCH for them. It's one of the most commonly discussed topics here.

Tire Cleaners are few and far between. EFHI diluted is fine. I love Eagle One Tire Cleaner and use it every time I wash the car. Soap and water is always safe. Mothers just came out with a new tire and rubber cleaner so try that if you can find it at retail.

Please, do not use Westleys or some harsh chemical cleaner. In the long run they do alot more damage than good. There are recent posts on this topic too so please search for them.

To clean my tires, I started using Eagle1 tire cleaner a few weeks ago. I love it so far. I don't think it's as harsh as Wesley's and I haven't noticed any browning.

DITTO on the Eagle1!! I love the stuff.:up

Mud? You actually take that puppy off road?:D

I think I am giving up on our truck. Between the kids and the horse ridding wife I can't keep up!
