Quick Opti-Seal review (conclusion=GREAT!)

What topper should you use if topping OS once a month?(OCW, AW, AJT?) I have 01 Beetle silver.

My OS should be here in 3 days. That'll be my base but not sure what monthly topper should use, if any. I don't know if it'll need a topper, but like to fiddle. Can't see not touching the car for 6 months at a stretch.

Just put more OS on it. Based on the size of your vehicle and monthly application, you might use 1, maybe 1.5 oz of product per year.

Way2SSlow-I believe he has several people doing durability testing right now. He won't change it unless he is sure he would be putting out an improved product. For me, it is even easier to use (pretty much QD easy) and is slicker right off the bat.

AW and AJT both work great!

Both OS and CS are stand alone products. There isn't a need for using another product under them unless you want to use an AIO to clean the paint. If you want to use a glaze an new style acrylic glaze from Danase or CG would work well.

Thanks, Scott and Wanna for your input on using OS as a stand-alone LSP. I was wondering if OS will make my silver car look deeper in color. I noticed that when I used JW AJT on my well-prepped car, the silver looked darker and deeper in color. This darker, deeper look was a real positive for me. Will OS do the same thing for my silver car? I hope so!!!!

Thanks for the input!

I also plan on using FK1 425 as a QD over OS. I just started using it over my JW AJT and really love 425 for providing a nice slick finish to refresh my JW AJT and to cut down on the dust attraction.

Depth is on par with Werkstatt but OS is definitely wetter looking.

I can't say for sure that OS will be as durable as the several months I get from AJ (haven't had OS long enough) but it is easier to apply.

I'm not sure what you're getting at. I compared OS as a product and to other products I've previously used.

I just meant that since you had 4 layers of AJ and a layer of AJT under it, I was wondering how you could get an accurate review of the looks. The review of how it is to work with is fine, but I have always been skeptical about reviews of waxes/sealants when they are put on top of other waxes. I'm not downing you or anything or saying that you review is wrong, that isn't my point. I would just like to see it on clean paint with some before and after pics to get a true review of the look of a wax/sealant. That's all.

I took no offense, I just wasn't sure what you meant and wanted to clarify. Now I get what you are saying though. I agree it's not accurate then as it was on top of another product. I don't know if I'll be able to make an accurate review then because I like AJ so much and don't think I'll apply only OS. :p

Thanks for the comments.

lol. I got excited to see wet silver. I have been trying to find smething that makes silver wet. I may have to get a sample from someone and do a test on my Jetta.
