Quick Detailer = Dust Magnet

By applying too much, too frequently, leaving the surface an oily mess.

 OK sorry never had that problem

so you have to rub more to get it off

and you are making a larger static charge......could be

Personally, I dont buy into the whole "anti-static' claim anyway..............Rub plastic enough on a dry So Cal day, and you'll create some static.............Fk is not the only maker of "antistatic" detail sprays either.....

Many synthetic detailers claim to be anti-static. The detailer itself may be anti-static but that doesn't mean that the MF towel is. Remember the MF towel is just soft, fuzzy plastic.

Um, well, the car is already grounded. I don't see the benefit.

Moreover, if you touch the panel with your hand, you have successfully grounded the panel (unless you are capable of hovering and walking on water).

Where is it that you planned to put the cables?

What, I don't know about you but my car has tires

and they stop the car from being grounded

well then maybe you need to use 425 on 1/2 of the tv screen

and see what it looks like in a few months....it proved it to me!

I use FK and get dusting. I've cut down on the amount I use but still get dusting. I really think its the MF. Maybe taking it easy on the wiping will help?

I've seen some QD's reduce the amount of static, but not eliminate it. Anytime you wax or QD a car its going to attract more dust than having just washed it.

Ok, I used some blanket statements and as there is always a tendency, my words are getting minced. I'm not taking this to heart but will attempt to clarify my point.

Rather than stating that it is grounded I should have described the car as having the ability to act as a voltage sink. For instance, the negative terminal of your battery is connected in some manner to the frame/engine/etc. The charge has to go somewhere without endangering the occupants. This system also allows for static and other stray electricity to be conducted and dealt with by the car's electrical system. Unless a body panel is totally isolated (i.e. no metal-metal contact between mounting brackets, fasteners, etc) its charge will be conducted by the vehicle's frame in a similar manner. I'm just sayin...

For a brand that mocks so many other wax companies on certain topics I thought they would be able to brush it aside.
