Detail time!
Hey everyone
Today I had a quick detail to do, exterior only. The owner hated all of the buffer swirls left by the dealer (bought the SUV used) and wanted them gone. Both of our schedules were pretty tight so I had to go back to the old school products. Tried and true :rockon. I had a few helpers on the detail and total time was about 2 1/2 hours. It's far from perfect but thats not what the owner was looking for today ... but maybe in the future :dnaughty.
Process:
Wash w/ QEW, seasponge
SSR2.5 5.5" light cut pad, UDM speed 6
PwC Blue 7.5" polishing pad, PC, speed 5
OCW
Products used (with exception to EX, time didn't allow):
Now the damage:
One door done:
Not your typical after but 50x better than before:
So those were my honest pictures and here's the cheating pictures in the shade:
And some fall scenery:
Don't mind the dirty wells and undressed tires, a full detail to it will be done at a later date. So to say the least the results were great considering the time and limited product usage. I really missed using Poorboy's Polish with Carnauba. I'm not sure why I haven't used it more often but I am sure glad that I did! It cleaned up a little micromarring left from the light cut pad and left some carnauba for protection. Topping that off with OCW added some more durability and made the surface a little slicker. It was nice using products that may have been forgotten by a lot of members, PwC blue, QEW and the sea sponge. Hope you liked the pictures :bigups
