Questiosn about Cleaning Cloth Seats

I had a Ford with cloth seats and I clean them with a steam cleaner, boy was that a mistake. Every time it was damp outside the seats got dirter. I guess they call that wicking. When I now clean cloth seats I use the least amount of water. The seats would have to be realy bad for me to use a steam cleaner again.
 
I've been using Blue Coral Uphostery cleaner. I spray on and use a wet/damp micro fiber towel to work the foam in and wipe off.

The Blue Coral also works great for carpet, but for that I spray, work slightly with a brush, then spray with water and use my wet/dry shop vac to extract the dirty/soapy water. For capet mats out of the vehicle, I hose down after the spray 'n brush. For inside carpet, I spray lightly with distilled water then extract.

Lemme guess, it is a late model F150, 250, Escape, or Freestar? If so, let me know. I have the cure.

No,it was a 1979 Ford LTD. This was a long time ago, like in 1985. Im sure their are other people out there with late model Fords that would like to hear the cure.
